Mobile Phone: Samsung Galaxy I8552 Vs Nokia Lumia 625. Below Rs 15K, Who Packs the Punch!

In the last few years we have seen a rapid growth in mobile handset industry. There are consumers and there is healthy number of suppliers as well. More and more people are looking for smartphones these days, a clear departure from what they used to own, say, five years back. Still, it’s not every day that we buy a smartphone. We are rather happy to flip through pages of information on the latest launches or do some window shopping and save our desire for the next rocking launch! When it comes to buying a new handset, we are confused with the plenty of options we can choose from. Most of us are the budget types but at the same time cannot suppress that desire to own a marvel.

Here I have picked up two recent models, below the Indian market price of INR.15,000/-, which keep a decent balance between budget and specification.  Samsung Galaxy Win I8552(Grand Quattro) VS Nokia Lumia 625. Although Android is the users choice these days, you just cannot ignore Nokia for their built quality and battery life. Let’s have a look,

Voila! it’s pretty much a tie. Few pros here, cons there and vice versa but if we take a finer look it may help us to come up with the winner.  Let’s see,

Pros in Samsung Galaxy Win I8552: Weight, Dimension, Dual SIM, CPU, Memory, FM and overall it’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean(Quite a recent and stable version at this price range)

Pros in Nokia Lumia 625: Display, POP Mail feature, Video Quality, Expandable up to 64 GB, Unlimited Phone Book, Better Talk time and Standby time.

The cons are almost the same for these two models and the notable one is, both of them do no connect to TV sets. (That’s alright. How many of us expect to have that at this price range!)

Conclusion:  If a gorgeous display and shooting good quality video is your passion, you may go with Nokia. Nokia has the reputation of giving better talk time and battery life. They have not missed that here either.

If you like gaming, check out various apps and in for better multitasking, Samsung should be your choice as they have packed in better processor and RAM.

Still a tie! Ok, now Windows 8 of Nokia is pitted against Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean of Samsung and clearly Android has a better Apps ecosystem than Microsoft’s offering.  You can also have a lot of customization with your Android phone and so they are that popular. That now tilts it in favor of Samsung. After all who doesn’t love to show off some extra bit he has more than others! Happy buying…
